Kornelia Binicewicz is a Polish-born DJ, record digger, creator of the Ladies on Records project, anthropologist, curator and storyteller. Her passion has taken her to Turkey, where she has lived in Istanbul since 2015. She has released two musical compilations: ‘Uzelli Psychedelic Anadolu’ & ‘Turkish Ladies’, shedding new light on Turkish music and the revivalism of women in this cultural heritage. Kornelia is also involved in a number of projects, including exhibitions, podcasts and mixtapes for festivals and radio stations (Radio Meuh, Radio Nova, Paranoise Radio). She assists in curating music festivals and writes liner notes and essays for music and cultural magazines. Kornelia shares her musical and cultural experiences in numerous workshops and sound talks. Her DJ sets are packed with nuggets from all over the world, as well as rarities from Turkey, Brazil and the Middle East, all the while promoting the latest in global sound. Derived from the organic music of the 70s, jazz and world groove, her eclectic selection brings different worlds together on the dancefloor to celebrate diversity - let's groove!

Uzelli Psychedelic Anadolu - Uzelli Kaset

Following a big international demand for original and obscure Turkish music from 70s and 80s, Uzelli selected tracks from their archive and brought them together as a compilation of psychedelic sounds of famous and unknown artists of Turkey. All tracks were recorded and produced by Uzelli between 1975 and 1984. Most of the tracks were never released on any other source than cassette. The design of the release was created to follow the original style of Uzelli's cassette covers' style from 70s and 80s. The project is created by international crew - curated by Polish music explorer and digger, esthetically redesigned by Polish artist, backed by Turkish researcher, American ethnomusicologist, Israeli and German DJs and producers.
